Yeast- and mold inhibitor

Mold growth on raw materials and feed reduces the nutritional value by eliminating available nutrients. In addition, fungi cause reduced palatability, which decreases feed intake. Some moulds produce mycotoxins (toxic metabolites such as aflatoxins, ochratoxines, zearelone, DON etc.). Mycotoxins are dangerous to the health of the animal and decrease production results. Yeasts are unwanted because they reduce the nutritional value and stimulate the growth of fungi by forming metabolites.

Globamold is a combination of concentrated phosphoric acid, propionic acid, acetic acid, sorbic acid and sodium on carrier. This combination was developed in 1998 in collaboration with Prof. Ir. J. Debevere of the University of Gent (Belgium). Globamold prevents development of fungi and yeasts in the feed. The negative effects of fungi on the feed quality and animal production & health are considerably reduced.
